The Food Safety Authority of Ireland have completed the review of their Safe Catering Pack. The pack was launched initially in 2009 to help food service businesses meet their legal requirement to manage food safely. The pack was developed principally for catering businesses, but is also relevant for retailers who have a catering function in their business.
The revised pack includes the following new sections:
New Allergens section: Safe Catering Plan and new Allergen Controls Review document to record checks of allergen controls
New Acrylamide section: Safe Catering Plan with Acrylamide Colour Chart for display in kitchens
The pack will be available soon for food businesses to purchase from the FSAI website, and the price of the new pack will be €100 (including postage and packaging).
