Fáilte Ireland's guidelines for the safe reopening of the tourism industry

The National Tourism Development Authority developed sector specific guidelines in collaboration with industry groups; the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF), the Irish Self Catering Federation (ISCF), the Irish Caravan and Camping Council, the Association of Visitor Experiences (AVEA), Ireland’s Association of Adventure Tourism (IAAT) and B&B Ireland to ensure the safe reopening of the tourism industry on the 29th June 2020.

Sector specific guidelines are available for:

• Hotels & Guesthouses
 Self-Catering businesses
 Caravan & Camping businesses
 Visitor Attractions
• Activity Providers
 B&Bs & Historic Houses
• Restaurants & Cafes

These guides can be found at the following link https://covid19.failteireland.ie/

Before re-opening, all sectors including restaurants, cafes and hotels will need to review how they work and employ new practices and procedures to ensure everyone stays safe. Personal hygiene and good food safety practices will be essential.

The EHAI and a number of our trainers continue to run our food safety and HACCP courses via video link or zoom during the Covid – 19 Pandemic.
