COVID guidance for food businesses

The Government has published a road map for reopening society and business. This has provided a series of dates on which different categories of business can reopen with conditions, in addition to outlining unwinding in a measured way some of the social measures introduced.

As COVID impacts all aspects of life there is a mass of information available on the wider topic. In my opinion it can be difficult to cut through this and access accurate, verified, updated information on any particular area.

In relation to food safety and COVID the Food Safety Authority of Ireland have developed a very useful resource for primarily food business operators but will be of interest to anybody with an interest in the area at https://www.fsai.ie/faq/coronavirus.html. I have found this to be readable, easy to follow and answers many of the questions which food business operators will have. It also has the advantage of being hosted and administered by the FSAI and will be updated with official guidance as it issues.
